Support multilateralism International Campaigns

The Human Rights Programme in Geneva focuses on the active participation of WILPF in the UN Human Rights mechanisms, most important of which are the triennial Human Rights Council sessions and their related UPR sessions.

During the Human Rights Council in September 2014, WILPF’s Human Rights programme organised a side event addressing the implications of military. WILPF also released two important new publications: You Get What You Pay For, highlighting the importance of investing in peace and gender justice rather than war, and Voices from Ukraine: Civil Society as a Driver for Peace, analyzing the relationship between men and women in conflict and the state of civil society.

WILPF also participates in several Treaty Body sessions, such as those of CEDAW and CERD, Working Groups, meetings with Special Representatives and other Human Rights instruments. WILPF International participates in these sessions in a number of ways:
